The story
The Bonnie Badger is a modern British restaurant at Main Street, Gullane, EH31 2AB, in East Lothian. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026, recognising good-quality cooking at good value.
Fish and shellfish are prepared in the kitchen each day. Meat and game arrive whole, and the team butchers everything in-house, sourcing from East Lothian and across Scotland. Cooks also forage herbs, sea herbs and mushrooms locally, so the sample menus shift with the season and daily specials.
The Stables serves the à la carte menu in an original part of the building, restored with character. Broc Bar offers pub dishes with a modern twist on Scottish classics. The Garden is landscaped for year-round use, with blankets and warming drinks in winter, and The Garden Room serves light lunches and afternoon tea on Friday to Sunday.
