The Galley is a seafood restaurant at 41 Fore Street in Topsham, Exeter, awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking.

The catch and the kitchen

The fish comes from Brixham Harbour, and the Devon seafood cooking is built around it. Shellfish is a particular strength. The restaurant is family-run and has been open for 17 years. Meat and vegetarian dishes are also on the menu for anyone who prefers them.

Menus and room

Set menus come in two or three courses, and a separate dessert menu is offered with wine pairings. The dining room is cosy and intimate, with a view over the estuary. A 1 AA Rosette, also awarded in 2026, sits alongside the Michelin recognition.
