The story
The Conservatory Restaurant at The Norfolk Mead, Church Loke, Coltishall, Norwich NR12 7DN, serves modern British food and holds two AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence (2026). The restaurant sits within the hotel's grounds on the banks of the River Bure, in the Norfolk Broads.
The day runs from brunch and light lunches to sharing plates and the restaurant's tapas menu. The room is bright, and the tapas suits groups who prefer to order several dishes and pass them around the table.
The kitchen cooks seasonal dishes from carefully selected ingredients, balancing classic favourites with contemporary flavours. In 2019, Executive Chef Damien Woollard led the team, and that year's AA report praised the restaurant's atmosphere and dishes. Private dining is also offered across the hotel for birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings.
