The story
Land is a plant-focused Asian fusion restaurant at 30 Great Western Arcade, Colmore Row, Birmingham, and it holds a 2026 Michelin Recommended listing. The kitchen cooks strictly vegetarian and vegan food, drawing on flavours from around the world.
The menus change with the seasons, so a dish may differ from one visit to the next. Diners choose between a full chef's menu at £75 and a short version at £60. Head chefs Adrian and Tony develop the menus, and alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink pairings are available with either.
The Good Food Guide singled out a potato crisp layered with fragrantly spiced pumpkin, coriander, beetroot and apple, topped with yoghurt and tonburi seeds. A tender leek with a rich tapioca and dashi sauce, finished with seaweed caviar, was another highlight. The meal ends with a chocolate, balsamic and blackberry dessert.
The dining room is small and shop-fronted, dressed in muted grey and green inside a Grade II-listed Victorian arcade. Staff offer useful guidance on a mainly low-intervention wine list. The restaurant opened in 2019 as one of the independent businesses in the arcade.
