The story
Montagu's Mews is the restaurant at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, at 16 Royal Crescent in Bath, serving modern British cooking. The AA awarded it 3 Rosettes in 2026, and the Michelin Guide lists it as Recommended the same year.
Head chef Martin Blake leads a kitchen that cooks with locally sourced ingredients and changes its seasonal dishes through the year. The menus run from breakfast and lunch to a six-course tasting dinner, with an à la carte option in the evening. Spring à la carte mains start from £15 at lunch and £28 at dinner.
Inside, the dining room is snug and stylish, with a bar pouring local botanicals, small batch spirits and a curated selection of wines and beers. In warm weather, the terrace has cantilever parasols, seasonal heaters and views over the gardens. There is no formal dress code, so guests can arrive as they are.
