The story
SENS takes its name from the French word for “sense” — an invitation to experience dining through sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound. The restaurant’s philosophy is built on four pillars: sensitive, elegant, natural, and sustainable. Every detail, from the modern neoclassical décor to the softly lit metallic accents, is designed to evoke the quiet glamour of a Parisian evening.
Chef Darius Wu began studying French cuisine at age twelve. By twenty-six, he had earned his first Michelin star — a milestone that speaks to his discipline and intuition. At SENS, he leads a kitchen that respects classic French techniques while embracing local, seasonal ingredients from Taiwan. “I hope every guest can feel our passion and dedication to detail,” he says. His cooking balances precise seasoning, quality produce, and refined technique to create what he calls “modern fashionable French cuisine.”
The menu changes with the seasons. Lunch offers seven courses (NT$3,980), while dinner stretches to ten courses (NT$5,280). A wine pairing option — three or five glasses — is curated by the restaurant’s sibling brand, Les Terroirs de Chailease, which imports exceptional bottles from Bordeaux, Burgundy, and beyond. The atmosphere is intimate and private, with a main dining room that seats up to twenty-two and a private room for twelve.
SENS earned a Michelin star in 2026, a testament to its consistent delivery of high-quality French cooking in Taipei. The award reflects Chef Wu’s ability to weave story and emotion into every plate, using Taiwan’s finest produce as his canvas.
The restaurant’s low-key luxury extends to its private dining options — ideal for special occasions or business gatherings. Wheelchair accessible and air-conditioned, SENS ensures every guest feels welcomed in a space that balances comfort with elegance.
