The story
Le 1913 is the gourmet restaurant of Villars Palace, at Route des Hôtels 28 in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland. The modern cuisine here earned 15 points from Gault&Millau in 2026, and the Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended the same year.
Executive chef Christian Bertogna, an Italian chef, runs the kitchen. Gault&Millau praised a winter menu full of finesse. The standout was trout ravioli with mushrooms and black garlic, served with fried shiso and a clear broth. Zander from Lake Maggiore, set on parsnip cream with bagna cauda, was also well judged.
The dining room is an elegant space inside the palace. In summer, guests eat on the terrace with a view of the Valais mountains. Sommelier Vasili Adodzich recommends crus from the wine list.
