The story
Chez Be sits at Mühleplatz 11 in Sursee's old town, a small Mediterranean bistro that earned 14 points in the 2026 Gault&Millau guide. It seats a maximum of 25 guests.
Beat Amrein, called "Be", cooks in full view of the room. Gault&Millau singles out a well-cooked entrecôte with generous café de Paris, vintage sardines, mussels in a spiced broth and a carefully seasoned beef tartare, all served with salted pommes frites. Lunch brings a choice of set menus. In the evening you can order a three-course menu or à la carte.
The seasonal menu changes the picture. On the inspectors' visit it offered veal carré and lamb chops on white wine risotto. Dessert is the "Soorserli", sour cream ice cream with cassis sauce, olive oil and pepper.
Romy Amrein hosts the room and guides guests through a list of Swiss and French wines. Michelin lists the bistro as Recommended for 2026.
