The story
Käserei, at Rathausgasse 34 in Murten, runs an international kitchen in the old town. Gault&Millau gave it 14 points in 2026, and Michelin lists it as Recommended for the same year.
Oli Lohse and Eric Glauser are the hosts. Gault&Millau credits Lohse with bringing calm and consistency to the elegant dining room. His wine recommendations from a well-stocked cellar again matched the food. The house welcomes guests for lunch, apéro and dinner, with outdoor seating available.
Inspectors praised a white tomato soup with scallop and basil. They also liked a robust white wine and cress soup with slow-cooked egg and Parmesan. Zander with pommes mousseline and a beef dish with filet, barley cakes and asparagus drew mixed reactions. On the international menu, a fior di latte ice cream with honey ended the meal on a high note.
