The story
Seelust is a family-run Landgasthof at Wiedehorn 10 in Egnach, Switzerland, serving World Cuisine with a regional base. Gault&Millau awarded it 13 points for 2026, recognising a kitchen that stays close to traditional Swiss country cooking.
The kitchen works with produce from the surrounding region, and the menu shifts with the seasons. Patron Thomas Hasen keeps familiar classics on the card, including Seelust-Spiessli, Zander-Knusperli and Egli from Lake Constance. The Schlemmer Atlas gives it two Kochlöffel for 2026, citing refined traditional cooking.
Recent menus have included a pink veal steak with mushroom cream sauce and spätzli, and a sautéed pikeperch fillet with white wine sauce. Dessert is marroni panna cotta with a splash of kirsch, served with spiced pineapple shavings. Guests dine across several Stuben, a larger hall and a covered garden, with seating under old trees in the orchard garden.
