The story
Lux dag för dag at Primusgatan 116 in Stockholm is a modern Swedish kitchen on Lilla Essingen, and the White Guide rated it Very fine level for 2026. The small-plate menu is built around what local growers, hunters and fishers bring in, with the produce setting the order of the dishes.
Henrik Norström writes a new menu each day from the best local ingredients. Plums are served at their juiciest, fennel just after it is picked, and game when the hunt has been good. The kitchen uses the whole animal, and during hunting season the menu includes house-hunted game.
The dishes move between classic Swedish flavours and influences from further afield. Grilled char with yuzu pickled tomato and soy-cured trout roe (SEK 215) sits alongside steamed pike-perch from Ängsö with ramson pistou and mussel velouté (SEK 345). The kitchen suggests at least three courses per person, or the Lux menu for the whole table with a wine pairing.
The dining room is warm and unfussy, and in summer the veranda looks out over Lake Mälaren. The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. The White Guide praised the well-composed food, the historic setting from 1916 and the friendly service.
