The story
Poppy serves seasonal Swedish cooking at Fjärde Långgatan 1 in Göteborg, and the White Guide rated it Very fine level in 2026.
Chef Tobias Jabosen is among those at the stove, and he brought two cooks with him from one of Gothenburg's finer restaurants. The White Guide noted that the early rumors raised expectations, and that Poppy lives up to them. Michelin lists it as Recommended for 2026.
The Nordic kitchen here follows Swedish produce through the year, so the menu keeps changing. The five-course version costs 800 kr, with a wine package at the same price. Langoustine with kosho and tomato opens it, followed by monkfish with harissa and mussel, then beef with green asparagus and wild garlic. Strawberries with lilac and almond close the meal. Snacks such as oyster with cucumber and caviar are an optional extra. On Wednesdays and Thursdays there is also a three-course menu at 495 kr.
The dining room is small and warm, with an open kitchen in view. A few places are held back for drop-in guests who want a glass or something lighter to eat.
