The story
Forastera is a Valencia restaurant at Pintor Domingo 40, known for Mediterranean market cuisine built on fresh, seasonal produce. Michelin's Bib Gourmand for 2026 recognises its good quality, good value cooking.
The carte changes with what the market brings, so dishes can shift at short notice. Recent plates include cucumber with kefir and lemon balm, asparagus with almond and horseradish, and Cantabrian bonito. The kitchen also serves wild pigeon from Tierra de Campos and a Valencian strawberry paired with requesón curd and black olive.
The tasting menu costs 52 euros and draws on every dish on the carte, portioned for the table. It is served to the whole table and does not include drinks. Sourdough bread is charged at 2.50 euros per guest. The kitchen adapts dishes for allergies or intolerances when told at least 48 hours ahead. The We're Smart Green Guide gave the restaurant three radishes for 2026.
