The story
Torralbenc is a Mediterranean restaurant in Maó, Menorca, at Carretera Mao - Cala Porter, Km.10, Alaior. The Michelin Guide recommended it in 2026, and the kitchen draws on the produce of the 74-hectare former farm that holds the restaurant.
The kitchen works in a seasonal Mediterranean and Spanish register. Many ingredients come from the estate's own vegetable garden, and the menu changes with what is ready. Dishes are described as rooted in the land, with the focus on keeping the produce pure. Meals are unhurried and often paired with the house wines. A tasting plate and a dessert appear among the restaurant's photographs.
The winery sits on the property, with vineyards covering 14 hectares of the farm. The first Torralbenc vintage arrived in 2016, after more than a decade of research into reviving the island's winemaking tradition. Wine Spectator awarded the estate a Best of Award of Excellence in 2021.
The restaurant occupies whitewashed buildings from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, restored to keep their rustic Menorcan character. Outdoor seating on the terrace suits warm evenings. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free guests are catered for, and a set lunch menu is offered.
