The story
Radis, in Jaén, is a modern cuisine restaurant at Tableron 10 that holds one Michelin star (2026). The kitchen builds its tasting menu around traditional home cooking, reinterpreted with a contemporary hand.
Juanjo Mesa León grew up in his parents' business, La Alcuza, a village restaurant in Pegalajar. The restaurant's name is French for radish and a nod to his mother's nickname, "la Rabanita," from the same village. The cooking draws on the memory of his grandmother's stews and the smells of childhood kitchens.
There is no à la carte menu. The tasting menu changes daily, and the current format is Menú Charca, named after the pond in Pegalajar. It is built on dishes from the old eating houses, with subtle village aromas. The restaurant has announced that from 1 December only the Charca menu will be served.
