The story
Llavor, at Plaza Islas Baleares 1 in Oropesa del Mar, is a contemporary Mediterranean restaurant in Benicàssim that earned a Michelin star for 2026. The kitchen draws on the sea, the huerta and the mountains of the Castellón area, and the menu changes with the seasons.
Jorge Lengua and Adrián Peralta are both listed as executive chefs. Lengua was named Cocinero Revelación of the Comunidad Valenciana in 2021 and Best Chef of the Castellón province in 2023. He calls Llavor his most personal project. Peralta grew up in a family with more than 30 years in cooking and studied gastronomy and culinary management at CEU.
The spring 2026 menu, titled "Recuerdo efímero", opens with dadinho de tapioca and moves through grilled calamaret with pork jowl and galeras, then merluza with herb chlorophyll and green beans. Dessert is an affogato made with Saccharomyces cerevisiae, followed by portokalopita. The menu costs 79 euros, excludes wine, and is available by reservation only.
The menu credits its growers by name, including a cheese maker in Eslida, a duck farm at Mas de Pelegrí, an olive oil producer and a meat supplier. The We're Smart Green Guide also awarded Llavor one Radish for 2026.
