The story
Quatre Molins, at Comte de Rius 8 in Cornudella de Montsant, Alforja, runs a French kitchen with Asian touches that earned 1 Michelin Star in 2026. The restaurant also holds 1 Radish from the We're Smart Green Guide (2026).
Rafel Muria was born in El Perelló into a beekeeping family and trained at Escola Hofmann in Barcelona. He worked at Michel Bras and Villa Maiella before becoming second chef at Atelier de Joël Robuchon Saint-Germain in Paris. He was 23 when he settled in Cornudella de Montsant to start the Quatre Molins project.
The tasting menus pair French technique with produce from the Priorat and the Ebro Delta. Honey runs through the kitchen, appearing in a royal of hare with honeycomb, guanciale and wild sorbet. Kombu, bimi and black sesame show the Asian side of the cooking, and the tuna royal with pear compote is the dish that won the Balfegó competition. Menus are listed at 85 and 120 euros.
