Wolfgat is a seafood restaurant at 10 Sampson Street in Paternoster, near Vredenburg, South Africa. It was ranked 50 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2021.

Kobus van der Merwe leads the kitchen through a signature Strandveld menu of seven tasting courses. Sustainable seafood sits alongside local lamb and venison and seasonal veldkos. Wild herbs, seaweeds gathered from the local rock pools and pickings from the garden finish many of the plates. Some elements take weeks to prepare, while others are picked on the day for the exact number of bookings.

A small room on the coast

The menu draws on the surrounding landscape and its dramatic seasonal change. The kitchen seats only 20 diners per sitting, a limit it describes as the way to keep the restaurant sustainable. Outdoor seating is part of the experience. The We're Smart Green Guide also awarded Wolfgat 4 Radishes in 2026.
