The story
Gredič, at Ceglo 9 in Dobrovo v Brdih, is a modern cuisine restaurant in a castle near Nova Gorica. Michelin awarded it a Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality cooking at good value.
The kitchen blends Mediterranean and continental flavours and builds its menu around seasonal, local ingredients. Pasta is where this shows most clearly. Gault&Millau praised the ravioli, filled with burrata, under a sauce that brings out the flavour of sheep's milk cheese.
The meat dishes come from carefully sourced produce, and the cooking keeps its natural character. The wine list focuses on producers from the Primorska region, and the Vinoteka on site pours wines from Goriška Brda growers. Staff can suggest a pairing for each course.
The restaurant sits inside a castle that has been converted into a hotel, and the rooms keep its historic architecture. Gault&Millau describes the mood as sophisticated yet welcoming and relaxed. The venue offers air conditioning, a lounge and outdoor seating.
