The story
City Terasa at 22 Ulica kneza Koclja in Maribor, Slovenia, serves a Mediterranean grill and seafood menu on a terrace high above the city. Gault&Millau awarded it 14 points for 2026, and the restaurant also holds a 2026 Michelin Recommended listing.
Chef Davorin Verlič builds the menu around local produce, organic beef and Mediterranean seafood. A lobster tank and a daily display of fresh fish on ice are visible from the room, which makes the focus on sourcing clear before the first course arrives.
Gault&Millau praised a scallop course prepared three ways: gratinated with cheese, lightly grilled with olive oil, and baked with grated black truffle. A salmon fillet comes with a scallop on creamy polenta and chanterelle mushrooms. Dessert is a mini baked cheesecake on torched meringue, served with jurka sorbet, rhubarb foam and fresh blueberries.
The terrace looks across the Drava River toward the Pohorje hills, and outdoor seating is available. The wine list leans on Styrian producers, and the restaurant offers a wine pairing for the tasting menu. Wheelchair access is also listed among its features.
