The story
Kuuru is a Japanese and Peruvian restaurant in Jeddah, on Leylaty, Al Malik Road in Al Khalidiyyah. Gault&Millau gave it 12.5 in 2026, and Michelin lists it as Recommended in the same year.
A central counter surrounds the kitchen, and a team in traditional Japanese garb assembles nigiri and fish cuts in full view. The furnishings are traditional, with wood, fine materials and meticulous crockery. Gault&Millau describes the atmosphere as trendy.
The kitchen cooks Nikkei dishes, a blend of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. Gault&Millau recommends the nigiri tasting menu, which mixes classics with creations, including versions with foie gras and truffle. Main courses include teriyaki chicken, wagyu, and fried rice with yuzu sauce, along with salmon served with nitsuke sauce, yellow pepper cream and onion pickles.
