The story
Twins Garden is a modern Russian restaurant at Strastnoy Blvd, 8A in Moscow, and it ranked No. 19 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019. The kitchen works mainly through seasonal tasting sets, with a short à la carte menu for guests who prefer to choose their own dishes.
The Ferma set is built from 12 dishes served in 8 courses, and several steps offer a choice. The menu reads as a seasonal diary, shaped by texture and flavour rather than a fixed sequence.
Legends of Ancient Cities takes a different route. Its eleven dishes each draw on an old Russian town, among them Yuriev-Polsky, Uglich and Myshkin.
The restaurant runs its own farm in the Yaroslavl region, and the cooking leans on that connection to the land. Twins Easy brings rarer ingredients, such as Kamchatka crab with carrot and smoked lard, prepared with more complex techniques.
The wine list is one of the largest in Russia, with many bottles that are rare in the country. Wine Spectator gave the restaurant its Best of Award of Excellence in 2023. Guests who skip alcohol can order a non-alcoholic pairing alongside the tasting menus.
