The story
Butchery & Wine is a Warsaw steakhouse at ul. Żurawia 22, and Gault&Millau awarded it 13 points in 2026. Beef is the centre of the menu, and the grill is where the kitchen puts most of its attention.
Polish beef comes directly from producers and trusted slaughterhouses, while imported cuts arrive from Australia, the USA, Ireland, Uruguay and the UK. The meat is dry-aged for at least 28 days, with temperature, humidity and airflow monitored throughout. Steaks are cut from large whole pieces to a chosen thickness, and the menu ranges from Rib Eye and New York to T-bone, Porterhouse, Flat Iron, Bavette and Chateaubriand. Wagyu also features among the steaks.
Gault&Millau singles out the vitello tonnato and the foie gras parfait with red onion marmalade. The wine list holds more than 200 labels from around the world, chosen to suit meat. The bar pours single malt Scotch, American bourbon and cognac, and makes classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, Manhattan and Warsaw Martini.
Large windows fill the spacious, minimalist dining room with daylight. Simple wooden tables keep the focus on the plate. The restaurant suits business dinners as well as celebrations with family and friends. Outdoor seating and counter dining are both available, and a second Butchery & Wine operates in Gdynia.
