The story
Hapag is a Filipino restaurant in Quezon City, at Rockwell Center, Seventh Floor, Manila, and it holds one Michelin star for high quality cooking (2026). Wine Spectator also gave its list an Award of Excellence in 2025.
Chefs Nav and Thirdy built Hapag around the meals they grew up with at home. The name comes from the low, short-legged Filipino dining table where families gather over food. For them, the table is where people share their day and feel safe enough to bring both joy and worries to it.
The kitchen draws on ingredients from the country's mountains, jungles and seas, and presents Filipino cooking as a tasting menu. The wine list is a second reason to linger. The room has air conditioning and outdoor seating, and it takes private parties.
