The story
Statholdergaarden is a Classic Cuisine restaurant at Rådhusgata 11 in Oslo, and it holds one Michelin star (2026). Torbjørn Forster and head chef Joachim Lindgren compose the tasting menus together.
The menu changes with the seasons, and the kitchen uses Norwegian ingredients when they are at their best. Bocuse d'Or winner Bent Stiansen has run the restaurant for a quarter of a century, and the White Guide lists it at Masters level (2026).
The restaurant sits in a landmarked building from the 1640s. Its dining rooms are formal, with tablecloths that reach down to the dark hardwood floors. A private room is also available for groups.
