The story
Hofstede de Blaak at Dussenpad 1 in Tilburg serves French and Italian cuisine, and it earned a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand for good quality cooking at good value. The restaurant occupies Rijksmonument Landhuis de Blaak, a 1907 English country house in the De Blaak neighborhood.
Chef-owner Angelo Autiero builds his menu on classical French technique with contemporary influences. Reviewers have also noted Asian accents in the dishes. Co-owner and host Mark van Hooijdonk oversees the front of house, and sommelier Ronald Beerens selects and pours the wines.
The Jachtkamer, with its oak wood paneling, is the house's showpiece and the only room left from the original 1869 farm. Reviewers describe linen-dressed tables, upholstered armchairs, a tiled floor, a chandelier and a wooden beam ceiling. A brasserie adjoins it, with a more relaxed feel. Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 15 points in 2026.
Reviewers have praised a chocolate-hazelnut mousse with caramel sauce and piment ice cream. Oyster tartare with green curry foam and sea buckthorn gel has appeared among the amuse-bouches.
