The story
O&O in Sint Willebrord is a family-run Asian fusion restaurant at Dorpsstraat 138, and it holds one Michelin star for 2026. Two generations of the Tsang family cook dishes drawn from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan, with French technique running underneath.
Danny Tsang and his wife Helena opened a Chinese takeaway in 1982. The kitchen now moves between Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, Hong Kong and Japanese cooking. Their son Mike is increasingly taking charge of the stoves, and the family describes the approach as respect for old recipes paired with a contemporary eye.
The razor clam XO is Danny's signature dish. Reviewers describe it with prawns, glass noodles and a spicy XO sauce. Kamado-grilled lamb chops arrive with pork belly, an eggplant and miso ball, and bak kwa, a lightly sweet dried grilled meat. Peking-style Barbary duck with five-spice and foie gras is served pink inside.
A recently refurbished inner courtyard offers outdoor seating under shade canopies. Guests sit on wicker chairs at tables dressed with linen and Cutipol cutlery. The indoor room is classically decorated, and the service is calm and precise.
The wine list earns praise for clear descriptions and a wide choice of open bottles by the glass. Wendy Tsang advises on non-alcoholic drinks. One reviewer matched the duck with her Purple Punch, a tea-based drink with pomegranate seeds and shiitake. A hybrid beverage pairing is also on offer.
