The story
Bistrôt Chapeau, at Huizerweg 1 in Blaricum, serves French cooking in a small, homely dining room, and Michelin lists it with a Bib Gourmand for 2026 for good quality and good value.
The team makes most of what reaches the table itself, including sixteen sauces (base stock included) and the pâtés and madeleines the restaurant is known for. Ingredients are organic where possible, chosen for flavour first. A cheese trolley filled with the finest cheeses stands in the room.
In summer, guests sit on the terrace under a large green plane tree, with linen on the tables and a view over village life. Inside, air conditioning keeps the room comfortable. The wine list is mostly French, with a few bottles from Spain and Austria. Cold dishes are also sold for takeaway, ready in about ten minutes.
