The story
Corners Store sits at Papaverweg 11 in Amsterdam-Noord, where an East-Asian kitchen earned 12.5 points from Gault&Millau in 2026. The room is a former warehouse with a large lamp as its eye-catcher, and the mood is relaxed.
The menu is built around a vegetable-focused set menu of seven to ten dishes, with meat and fish options to add. Guests can also order a la carte. The kitchen mostly uses organically and biodynamically grown produce. Gault&Millau describes the cooking as simple yet flavorful, and the open kitchen puts that work in view.
Snacks include crispy tofu and lotus root pickle, and the warm plates feature aubergine with black bean sauce and Thai basil. Poached corn chicken comes with ginger scallion sauce. Gault&Millau singled out the lightly pickled kingfish with kosho. Dessert is a chrysanthemum ice cream with peach and crumble.
The wine list draws on small producers, with sparkling, orange and red bottles offered by the glass as well as by the bottle. The sake selection and digestifs include Japanese whisky and several agave spirits. The We're Smart Green Guide gave Corners Store three radishes in 2026.
