The story
La Scala is a Mediterranean and Italian restaurant at Rte de L'Oued Sous, Agadir 80000, rated 11/20 with one toque by Gault&Millau in 2026. The restaurant has been open since 1994, and its seafood menu is the reason many regulars keep coming back.
The kitchen builds much of its menu around fish and shellfish, with lobster, langoustine and king prawns as the headline specialties. The cooking draws on Mediterranean produce, with Italian dishes such as pasta and pizza alongside a few Moroccan references. The guide describes the plates as carefully presented and consistently executed, valuing mastery over experimentation.
Gault&Millau singles out the sea bass ceviche for its fresh product and seasoning. The sea bream fillet shows sound timing and respect for the fish. The meal closes with a red fruit pavlova, light and well balanced.
The dining room is spacious, with a multi-level terrace, refined décor and large chandeliers. Staff are praised for warm, personal attention, and recent guest reviews mention the welcome and the pace of service. The wine list is varied and includes local bottles, although there is no wine by the glass and the non-alcoholic selection is small.
