The story
Le Cap Cozumel serves contemporary Mediterranean food at Carretera a Chankanaab Km. 6.5 in Cozumel, and Wine Spectator gave it an Award of Excellence in 2025.
The kitchen centers on seafood and fresh dishes cooked in a wood-fired oven and on the grill. The Mediterranean framing is contemporary, so expect the sea to lead the menu. The restaurant sits on the beach, and the same kitchen also draws on Italian, Mexican and international cooking.
A lounge area runs along the water, and private cabanas stand on the pier. They suit a cocktail or a cold drink at an unhurried pace. The wine program has been recognized twice by Wine Spectator, with a Best of Award of Excellence in 2020 ahead of the 2025 award.
