The story
Quattro, at Av. Santa Fe 160 in Mexico City, is a northern Italian kitchen that received one fork from Gambero Rosso in 2024. The restaurant describes itself as an Italian kitchen built on fresh ingredients from Italy and long-standing recipes.
The menu draws on the cooking of northern Italy, with Piedmont as the home region of the kitchen. Pastas are made in-house, and the menu also includes Mediterranean seafood and prime Angus beef. Each day brings specials such as risotto, fish and cuts of beef of the day.
The regional menus change monthly, moving from north to south or following the season and the ingredients available in Italy. From November, a Piedmont menu features Tartufo Bianco from Alba. Hosts explain the dishes at the table, and the wine director can suggest pairings. The wine list earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2020.
