The story
Potager is a French restaurant in Kuala Lumpur at P11, Bamboo Hills, off DUKE, Taman Bamboo, Segambut, Kuala Lumpur 51200, listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026. Its kitchen runs lunch and dinner tasting menus with a show kitchen at the centre of the room.
Executive chef Masashi Horiuchi cooks around the Japanese idea of kokoro, meaning heart or spirit. He spent more than 20 years in Europe, including five years as sous chef at L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon in London, and describes his cooking as Japanese precision with French artistry. Head chef Yeoh Leng Chee blends classical French technique with Malaysian flavours and works with local, seasonal produce from farmers.
Lunch is a multi-course meal, and dinner is a degustation built on ingredients from land, sea and soil. Pastry sous chef Nico Ooi works tropical fruits into his desserts, reshaping familiar sweets into forms that surprise before the first bite. The wine list leans toward European vineyards, and the Oeno menu offers tapas and drinks in a more relaxed setting. The restaurant also carries a 4 Radishes rating from the We're Smart Green Guide for 2026.
The main dining area seats 30 guests. Four private dining rooms each hold up to 10, with two in darker tones and two in lighter ones, all furnished with local art. The dress code is semi-formal, so men dining at dinner are asked to wear a collared shirt and long trousers.
