The story
Léa Linster, at 17 route de Luxembourg in Frisange, is a modern French restaurant that holds two Michelin stars (2026). The Asian and Nordic notes on the menu sit alongside French technique, and the kitchen is run by Louis Linster, son of Léa Linster.
Louis Linster is a self-taught chef, and his path is his own. The menus are built like a score, balancing depth with freshness and technique with feeling. French tradition is the foundation, with Nordic and Asian influences layered on top. Produce is central, and the kitchen works with turbot, Norwegian langoustine and Japanese melon.
Green asparagus arrives tender under a classic yellow wine mousseline, with a few discreet morels that support rather than overpower it. Lightly confited Arctic char comes with several textures, including a subtle dashi beurre blanc. The meal closes with langoustine over crunchy millet, served with squash broth, yellow chilli and sea buckthorn oil.
The kitchen is visible through a glass wall as guests arrive, and the dining room looks out over rolling countryside. Meals can be paired with wine or with non-alcoholic drinks made from teas, juices and infusions. The cellar holds more than 1,000 references, chosen for balance and accessibility.
