The story
Mikla is an Anatolian restaurant at Meşrutiyet Caddesi No:15, 34430 Beyoğlu, Istanbul, on the 18th floor of the Marmara Pera. The Michelin Guide awarded it one star in 2026 for high quality cooking.
The kitchen cooks with seasonal Anatolian ingredients and reinterprets traditional Turkish plates in a contemporary style. Guests can choose a three-course prix fixe à la carte or a seven-course tasting menu, which can be paired with wine. Recent dishes have included charred calamari with broad beans and tarator, whole wheat mantı with smoked buffalo yoghurt, and lamb heart with bolet mushroom and pomegranate vinegar. The menu changes daily with the produce that arrives.
Mikla Bar occupies the roof terrace, with views across the skyline and a breeze off Galata. Gault&Millau gave the bar 12.5 in 2026, citing its clean design and signature cocktails. The wine list holds around 450 labels and 4,500 bottles, with about 30 wines by the glass, and most of the service team is WSET certified.
