The story
La Casa degli Spiriti is an Italian Contemporary restaurant in Torri del Benaco, at via Monte Baldo 28, Costermano, 37010, with views over Lake Garda. The Michelin Guide recommended it in 2026, and the house holds a Michelin recognition alongside a strong local reputation for its wine list.
The gourmet restaurant offers tasting menus shaped by Chef Filippo Chignola, who runs the kitchen at 22. He trained at Hiša Franko with Ana Roš and at Villa Crespi with Antonino Cannavacciuolo. The cooking follows the seasons and relies on carefully chosen ingredients. The house also runs a Dine Around format that lets guests move between its restaurants.
The cellar sits inside the walls of the original residence and holds more than 1,500 labels. Sommelier Lorenzo Chignola curates the list, with attention to Valpolicella producers and a broad selection of Champagne. Gambero Rosso awarded the restaurant two forks in 2022.
The building dates to the late 1700s and was restored in June 1996 after decades of neglect. Its rooms overlook the lake. The restaurant also hosts weddings and corporate dinners, with the family's staff handling planning and service.
