The story
Osteria Ophis is a modern Italian restaurant at corso Serpente Aureo 54/b in Offida, and the Michelin Bib Gourmand it received for 2026 recognises its good quality, good value cooking. The osteria sits in a medieval village among the hills of the Piceno, where wine, olive oil and local ties shape daily life.
Chef Daniele Citeroni Maurizi, a native of Offida, builds the menu on Marchigiana cooking reread in a contemporary style. The dishes follow the season, and the menu changes often to make room for ingredients such as truffle. He selects and sources many of his raw materials himself.
The osteria hosts banqueting for small private gatherings. For larger occasions, its catering service works from La Casetta, a property among the olive groves and vineyards. A private chef can also cook at your home. The We're Smart Green Guide awarded it 2 Radishes for 2026.
