The story
Autem* is a modern cuisine restaurant at Via Serviliano Lattuada 2 in Milan, recommended by the Michelin Guide in 2026. The kitchen works from a seasonal, market-led menu in a dining room built around an open kitchen.
Luca Natalini is a Tuscan chef who gained years of experience abroad before opening his own restaurant in Milan. He considers cooking the highest form of creative expression, and he uses food to test the limits of taste and art. The kitchen describes its approach as "from ego to eco," a cuisine that belongs to nature rather than to the chef.
Two dishes often cited from the kitchen are "pasta in bianco," presented as if it were a bourguignonne, and oyster with horse meat. The à la carte card lists starters at 18 to 26 euros, first courses at 22 to 32, second courses at 28 to 38 and desserts at 14 to 18. Tasting menus cost 100 euros for four savory courses or 130 euros for six, and a wine pairing is available at 70 euros for four glasses or 90 for six, with wine and beverages excluded from the menu prices.
The first dining room is a large, airy space where the open kitchen connects directly with the tables, with no architectural barrier between cooking and dining. Guests are welcomed by the chefs themselves. The 50 Top Italy guide notes that the kitchen runs quietly, with discipline rather than noise. The room is air conditioned and wheelchair accessible.
