The story
85 Bistrot serves Milanese and Lombard cooking at piazza Martiri di Via Fani 85 in Sesto San Giovanni, Milan. The Michelin Guide lists it as Recommended for 2026, and the kitchen works from tradition in a modern Italian bistro setting.
Daniele Ferrari is the chef and owner, and his wife Samanta runs the dining room. The menu holds Milanese classics such as costoletta alla milanese, ossobuco in gremolada and cassoeula, alongside mondeghili and a nervetti salad with borlotti beans and Tropea red onion. Bread is baked in house with Petra flour, and the spaghettoni come with San Marzano tomato.
The room is contemporary, with few seats indoors and a dehor outside in warm months. ilGolosario gave the restaurant its Corona Radiosa for 2026 and praised the cellar, which includes wines by the glass from a dispenser. For dessert, expect a chocolate budino with amaretti or a Sicilian cannolo filled to order.
