The story
Abbruzzino Oltre, at Piazza Salvo d'Acquisto 16 in Lamezia Terme, holds one Michelin Star (2026) for its contemporary Mediterranean cooking. Chef Luca Abbruzzino leads the kitchen, working with the produce of Calabria.
Luca Abbruzzino was singled out as a prodigy at 23, and the decade since has gone into shaping a contemporary style around Calabrian ingredients. 50 Top Italy placed the restaurant at number 44 in its Grandi Ristoranti list for 2026, describing food of concentrated flavor and lightness, with carefully considered presentations. His parents, both from the hospitality trade, have backed him throughout.
The restaurant calls its approach "Oltre", meaning beyond. Its own words describe a dinner without fixed path, limit, count or printed card, with the absence of names and order presented as freedom. No dishes are listed in the sources, so the table is best approached as a surprise.
The dining room sits inside Palazzo Greco Stella, a historic building where art, food and hospitality share the same walls. Art exhibitions change the look of the rooms and sit alongside the relais. Outdoor seating and air conditioning are both available, and the service pays attention to small details, according to the 50 Top Italy jury.
