The story
Torre del Saracino is an Italian restaurant in Castellammare di Stabia, at via Torretta 9, Vico Equense, and holds two Michelin stars (2026) for excellent cooking. Chef Gennaro Esposito works with regional produce and the sea, and the dining room sits in a Norman tower.
Gennaro Esposito was born in Vico Equense in 1970 and trained with Gianfranco Vissani and Alain Ducasse. The restaurant opened in Seiano in 1991. His menus link childhood memories of land and sea with new pairings, and the kitchen alternates land and sea courses with confident control.
The tasting menu comes in three, five or ten courses. The à la carte includes spaghettini with anchovy colatura, squid liver and pistachio. When the season allows, tagliolini with Silano white truffle carbonara is the dish to choose. Dessert includes a Neapolitan rum babà made to tradition.
