The story
Nove is a Ligurian restaurant at via Privata Montagù 9/1 in Alassio, holding one Michelin Star in 2026 for high quality cooking. It sits within the grounds of Villa della Pergola, and the setting shapes much of what reaches the plate.
Chef Antonio Romano arrived in Alassio from the world of a contemporary art museum. He grew up in a seaside town himself, so the coast felt familiar quickly. He describes the daily contact with the people who tend the villa's gardens and vegetable plot as a rare opportunity, since they grow the ingredients behind his dishes.
Guests can choose between tasting menus and an à la carte menu. The vegetarian selection is wide and follows the seasons, with vegetables and herbs from the Giardini and the Orto Rampante. The kitchen's Ligurian focus also takes in other Italian regions. The Green Guide awarded the restaurant 3 Radishes in 2026.
Tables look out over the sea, with wisteria and Mediterranean herbs scenting the air. The historic villa and its gardens give the room its character. Nove has belonged to the Relais & Châteaux family since 2020.
