The story
Ai Burattini, at via Madaschi 45 in Adrara San Martino, serves Lombard cooking that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026. The Italian kitchen is run by Gianmarco Bellini, whose family has worked in restaurants for four generations.
The sign recalls the days when travelers staged impromptu puppet shows for children in village courtyards before eating and moving on. The village sits among the Valcalepio vineyards. Bellini and his family put well-made traditional specialties on the table, which led ilGolosario to give the restaurant its Faccino Contento in 2026.
The cured meats come with mixed pickles, a fitting start to a Lombardian meal. First courses include tagliatelle with Bergamasque sheep ragù and casoncelli. Among the mains are slow-cooked donkey meat and braised salt cod. Tiramisu closes the menu.
The Bib Gourmand fits the bill: appetizers average €12, first courses €14, mains €15 and desserts €6. A lunch menu is €14. There is outdoor seating, a vegetarian menu, and small pets are welcome. Doggy bags are available.
