The story
Restaurant 1A operates inside the Flair Hotel Reuner at Machnower Chausse 1a in Zossen, Germany, with a seasonal farm-to-table kitchen built on regional ingredients. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 1,5 Kochlöffel in 2026, citing creative, down-to-earth dishes made with produce from the hotel's own garden and livestock.
Daniel Reuner, who is both hotel owner and head chef, cooks with what grows on the property. The garden supplies cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, kohlrabi, squash, strawberries, apples and plums, along with salads and herbs. The kitchen also draws on a greenhouse and a vegetable field, so the menu changes with the season.
The menu highlights regional specialties, including game and fish from the Mark Brandenburg forests and lakes. The hotel breeds its own quail and rabbits and raises wild lamb near Zossen. Homemade cakes round out the offering. Families and companies can book celebrations here, and a buffet can also be delivered to your door.
