The story
Ratsstube in Wildemann, Germany serves modern cuisine at Bohlweg 37, and the Michelin Guide listed it as a recommendation in 2026. The dining room is part of Hotel Rathaus, where the Geinitz family cooks for guests.
The kitchen buys only from regional producers and builds its dishes around what is in season. The aim is to bring these ingredients together in an honest, down-to-earth way with a modern interpretation. Purchasing starts the process, so the menu follows the local harvest rather than a fixed list.
The Schlemmer Atlas awards the restaurant 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026 and singles out a bright dining room and fine food, from lamb cheek dim sum to a duo of local veal. Set menus can be paired with matching wines, and the aperitif and wine option adds 40 € per person. Lunch orders close at 13:30 and dinner orders at 20:00, and individual courses cannot be chosen.
The Lindensaal hosts private events such as birthdays, Christmas parties, anniversaries and christenings for up to about 40 to 50 guests. The team helps with menus, decoration and service. Groups of eight or more are arranged by request. A five-course wild and wine evening is scheduled for 12 March 2026 at 18:00, priced at 169 € per person, with a tasting of wines from Weingut Schott and water included.
