The story
Landgasthaus zur Linde is at Schönbuchstr. 8, 72124 Pliezhausen, Germany, and the Schlemmer Atlas gave its Mediterranean kitchen 3 Kochlöffel in 2026. The house is a country inn with a modern, understated room, and the cooking depends on good ingredients rather than theatrics.
Andreas Goldbach works in a classic style that stays steady from year to year. Der Feinschmecker gives the house 2.5 for 2026 and describes the food as unpretentious and tasty, without experiments. The menu comes in two variations of four or five courses, and every dish can also be ordered à la carte.
House-smoked salmon arrives with pickled vegetables and caviar potato blini. Ox tail essence is served with small, delicate dumplings. A trio of house-made cured hams sits on toasted baguette with pickled fig and mozzarella. The braised beef shank comes with truffle noodles, and the bakery and pantry also sell house-made jams and rye bread.
The dining rooms have the charm of a village inn, with a well-kept, relaxed atmosphere. The wine list is large and written for enthusiasts, with a strong French selection and some bargains. Sommelière Irene Goldbach advises guests on the list.
