The story
Gasthaus Löwen - Tschortsches Room is a fusion kitchen at Obere Str. 10 in Villingen-Schwenningen, housed in an inn that is among the oldest restaurants still operating in Villingen. The Schlemmer Atlas gave it 1.5 Kochlöffel in 2026.
Georg Hildebrandt, known as Tschortsche, took over the kitchen in October 2023. He had previously cooked in Rottweil. The menu is listed under fusion, international and world cuisine, with a set lunch and vegetarian options.
The inn sits in the old town, directly beside the pedestrian zone. Its traditional Gasthaus character is paired with the Tschortsches Room, the restaurant's fine dining space. The team also runs a second restaurant, the Wagnerei in Schwenningen.
