The story
Gourmetrestaurant Aubergine at Münchner Str. 17 in Starnberg serves French and international cooking inside the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten. It holds one Michelin Star in 2026 and is the only starred restaurant in the Starnberg and Ammersee region.
Chef Maximilian Moser leads the kitchen. His approach starts with a single hero ingredient, chosen by season and inspiration, and the menu is built around it. The aim is a composition that holds together and still has a small surprise in it. Moser credits the team and the freedom given by the owner family for the results.
The Michelin Star arrived in November 2014 and the kitchen has kept it for ten years. The Schlemmer Atlas gave Aubergine 3.5 Kochlöffel in 2026. It describes a modern, understated gourmet room in a first-class hotel, serving modern interpretations of haute cuisine.
The restaurant can be booked exclusively at selected times for company dinners, family celebrations and wedding meals. The team plans menus, decoration and a programme around the event, and can arrange accommodation for guests in the hotel.
