The story
Das Philippin in Rutesheim serves a French kitchen at Seestraße 7, 71277 Rutesheim, and holds 3 Kochlöffel in the Schlemmer Atlas 2026. A patisserie and café share the building with the restaurant.
Tim Striegel, a trained chef and confectioner, is back in the family business and writes menus of up to five courses. Der Feinschmecker (2.5, 2026) singled out a fjord trout starter with beetroot, horseradish and apple-lime gel, and a veal fillet with sesame crust, ginger and wasabi. Desserts and petits fours close the meal.
The dining room has a wooden floor, light upholstery and an open kitchen beside the pastry shop. The wine list holds about 150 German bottles, mostly from well-known estates.
