The story
Restaurant Morizaner, at Rondell 7-8 in Ludorf near Röbel, is a fusion kitchen in one of the oldest manor houses in Mecklenburg. Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2,5 Kochlöffel in 2026 for its traditional craftsmanship.
The kitchen follows a Slow Food concept and works mostly with regional, seasonal ingredients. There is no long card. Instead, the menu changes daily and comes in several courses. Fish arrives from Müritz fishermen, and meat and sausage come from a glass butcher in the neighbouring village. Crayfish from the Müritz sometimes reach the plate as bycatch.
The house describes its cooking as the traditional cuisine of Mecklenburg, brought back to life to suit the setting. Schlemmer Atlas singles out dishes with wild game and zander from the Müritz region. In summer, guests can eat on the terrace outside.
